Everyone learns differently so there is no one fit for all teaching approach. Children progress at different rates and as a result, learning strategies need to be continually reviewed, adapted or changed to help your child achieve their potential.

As everyone learns differently, progress is directly related to your child’s development of their understanding, and therefore not to the number of tutoring sessions.

In the child/parent/tutor discussion at the end of each session your child will share what they have learnt with you. In my experience, this is an invaluable part of the session, as it helps your child to review and consolidate their learning. It also provides an opportunity for discussing next steps and how you can support your child’s learning between sessions.

Please note that I am sensitive that your child may not respond well to my approach and this may limit the success of ongoing sessions. In this instance, I would discuss my concerns with you and we would agree on how best to proceed in the interests of your child's development.
