Take a pencil for a walk and get creative
An easy, inexpensive craft that keeps kids busy and creative. Display their art on the wall, or fridge, or use it to make inexpensive personalized cards or bookmarks.
What you need:
- A pen or pencil
- Crayons, coloured pencils, felt tips, paints, other colouring media or collage materials (or any combination of these)
- A piece of paper or card
What to do:
- Take your pencil or pen for "a walk" across a piece of paper or card. Draw any type of lines that you want (curvy, straight etc.) in any direction.
-
Use colouring media, paint or college materials to fill in the spaces created by your lines.
Top tip: Remember not all the spaces need to be filled. Experiment with mixing colours, media, line shape and texture.
